Do you know how many applications someone sends on average to land 1 job offer? On average, an individual will send 100-200+ applications to receive one job offer. It may sound scary to see those numbers, yet if you break these numbers down to weeks, it means about 20 applications per week for 8-10 weeks.
The job search is a process that consists of a cycle of searching, applying and interviewing.
There is a ramp-up time of about 2-3 weeks for the applications to show results, ranging from requests for interviews, technical/case study tests or a rejection message. Sometimes you can get a response on your application within days, sometimes it can take 1-2 weeks.
At the end of the day, landing a new job is the result of sending what will feel like A LOT of applications. Yet, this is OK given that there are a LOT of great companies out there.
